After being inspired by various other gardening blogs, I decided to have my own gardening blog so as to help the plant lovers with what ever bits n piece of experience I have regarding gardening.

A little introduction about me...
I hail from dhanbad , a city which is situated in jharkhand (India). I have a rooftop garden at my home. And I like to experiment a lot in my garden.

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog. This time I have added two new adeniums and a Magnolia Alba to my garden. During my last visit to the local plant store, I was totally taken up by the adeniums they had for sale. I have bought one with red flowers and the other one has white blooms. While buying the adeniums I suddenly came across a mysterious plant with beautiful fragrant flowers. I learned from the owner that it is a Magnolia Alba. I ended up buying the Magnolia Alba too. Growing Bulbs

Growing flower bulbs in gardens can be at times a challenging task to be performed. We have to be cautious about the type soil, amount of sunlight and watering. Very often the bulbs die due to water clogging or poor drainage system of the pot. I had bought some bulbs last summer. I barely knew there name when i bought them. Then it was an year long experimentation with bulb and finally after loosing a few of them i was able to see the results of all my inputs. So basically to grow any plant we require four fundamental elements: 1. Soil 2. Water 3. Sunlight 4. Fertilizer and pesticides We have to make sure that the soil for growing a bulb is pourous enough. The soil needs to be well aerated and loose enough to drain excessive water. We must ensure that the soil should have good water holding capacity but no water clogging is allowed. Facts about Gerbera...

Gerbera are easy to care for. They can be grown both indoors and outdoors, in pots or directly on the ground. However there are a few things that needs to be taken care of. I will be sharing a few tips for growing gerberas. Soil: I have been using mixture of soil and cow dung manure, and a bit of leaf mulch and believe me, the plants are doing great. But we need to make sure the potting mix is well drained. Light: The plant needs to be kept in direct sunlight for heavy blooms in spring, however with increasing summer  temperatures the plant requires some afternoon shade. Water:  Water your gerberas thoroughly but  make sure the excess water must drain out or else soggy potting mix will lead to root rot. Water your gerberas only when you see the top soil is dry ( do not overwater your gerbs ) Pruning: Remove the dead flower heads and the dead leaves.( you may sun dry the leaves and add them as mulch).
